John was a station manager of Tablederry, just north of Muttaburra. his death was reported by his son, William Henry Walter Cann.
John was the son of John, a sailor & Mary Cann, and had been in Queensland about 12 years.

John married Anne Agnes Holman at St Pancras Church London 28th July 1842. They lived in Blackwood Victoria until about 1864.

Children:
John Kennedy Cann born 14 August 1843, christened St Pancras Church London. Hotelier and Cobb & Co Stage Coach operator in Blackwood Victoria. Married Rebecca Olivia May Perry 26 March 1869 in Richmond Vic. Died 11 February 1894

William Henry Walter Cann born 31 August 1845, christened St Pancras Church London. Butcher in Muttaburra. Married Janet Mather 13 March 1879 Qld. Children: Jessie Agnes Mary born 12 Oct 1882 Qld. He died in 1920 in Queensland

Jane Mary Cann born 22 Nov 1847, christened St Pancras Church London. Married George Smith on the 14 April 1869 at Goulburn NSW.

Anne Adelaide Cann born North Adelaide 3 Sept 1850, registered City of Adelaide. Married Thomas Connors in September at Goulburn NSW.

Mary Charlotte Cann born Richmond North Melbourne 11 March 1854, registered City of Melbourne. Married Oswin James Hall 3 May 1876 in Muttaburra Qld.

Their second son William Henry Walter CANN that is buried in Queensland was a butcher in Muttaburra and married in town to Janet MATHER. They were the reason that Ann and John senior traveled north after retirement in Vic.
