Died from Ruptured liver, horse stepped on him

Morning Bulletin Saturday 14 November 1942
News has been received of the accidental death at Lerida Station of Martin Devaney. It is understood that he was delving a drain when the horses got out of control and he was thrown beneath them, suffering injuries from which he expired some time later. The body was conveyed to Muttaburra for burial.
