OBITUARY MRS. C. FITZGERALD
The death of Mrs. C. Fitzgerald, which took place suddenly at her residence early on Thursday morning of last week, came as a great shock to her relatives and friends, although she had not enjoyed very good health for some time. Deceased was the fifth daughter of Mrs. J. Shute (sen.) and the late Mr. J. Shute, old identities of the Muttaburra and Longreach districts in which districts Mrs. Fitzgerald had spent all her life. She was an energetic worker for all patriotic, public and church functions. She is survived by her husband, one daughter and four sons, one of whom, Reginald, is in the R.A.A.F. The funeral took place at Muttaburra, the Rev. Father Bagley of Barcaldine officiating at the grave side.
