At SEMAKH on 25/9/1918 for good work during the attack on Semakh. This N.C.O. exhibited great dash in the charge for the Railway Station. He took command of two sections and did valuable work in .... the positions held by the enemy. This N.C.O. took up position in rear of the Railway Station and caused severe casualties on the enemy in proceeding ... after repeated attempts to suffer adverse .... Throughout the whole action he exhibited great dash and bravery.
