Details
Jack was born in Muttaburra, the son of Sarah Mitchell (nee Hooper) who was a nurse and John Mitchell, a shearer originally from Charters Towers. Sarah and Jack moved around a lot working on farms.
Jack served in the Royal Australian Air Force during World War II.
Jack died on 13 April 2009 at Lismore NSW – cause old age.
